Germany reports 745 new COVID-19 cases


The global death toll from the coronavirus infection has topped 4.024 million; over 186.4 million cases have been detected, according to Baltimore, Maryland’s Johns Hopkins University, which tracks and compiles data from national and local authorities, the media and other sources.

The United States has the highest death toll and overall coronavirus tally, with 33.8 million infected and 607,000 fatalities. It is followed by India (30.7 million cases and a death toll of over 407,000) and Brazil (19 million cases, 532,000 deaths).

The European Union had reached its goal in delivering enough vaccines to the member states to vaccinate 70% of the EU population, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said.
