PESHAWAR: As per the directives of the KP government, the Local Government, Elections and Rural Development Department of the KP government has directed all employees to get themselves and families vaccinated this month.
An official handout said all offices of the department have been ordered to initiate the mandatory vaccination of the staff and families.
Each office has nominated a focal person for this purpose, who will ensure the smooth rollout of the vaccination programme of relevant staff and their families.
These focal persons will track the progress on vaccination against Covid-19 and will keep the record.
Another report said the recruitment of 10 assistant directors in the Local Government Department has been completed through the Provincial Public Services Commission, KP government.
A notification will be issued in a couple of days. Further recruitment of the staff in the Local Government, Elections, and Rural Development Department, through the provincial Public Services Commission, is in process. A final merit list of 250 candidates who have been recruited through ETEA, has been displayed on the website of the Local Council Board. Another official handout insisted that the recruitment has been made in a very clear and transparent manner to ensure merit.
It said the quota for women, minority and disabled persons in the selection process was ensured.
A communication said the Finance Department has released a budget amounting to Rs579.2 million for the engagement of janitorial staff and the purchase of small sanitation tools for the Village and Neighborhood councils in the 28 districts of KP to ensure cleanliness regularly.
