With the latest record of 52,752 COVID-19 active cases, on Thursday, spike in spread of novel coronavirus continues during the second day of Eidul Adha across country.
According to the details issued by National Command and Operation Centre’s (NCOC), a loss of 40 lives along with 2,158 positive cases have been recorded during the last 24 hours.
As per the NCOC statistics, out of 34,216 COVID-19 tests that were conducted yesterday, six percent of the positivity ratio was observed significantly.
Moreover, the current positivity rate stands at 6.30%.
The death toll due to the novel virus culminates at 22,928 while 922,929 patients stand recovered from the infection.
It is pertinent to state here that more than four hundred fifty thousand people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the last 24-hours.
The vaccination centres, across the country, were closed on first day of Eid, whereas now all vaccination centres are reopened.
Taking it to Twitter, the NCOC urged citizens to get vaccinated and ensure strict adherence to COVID-19 SOPs.
